GREEN CHUTNEY / CORIANDER CHUTNEY - A cold sauce made from green coriander leaves, green chilli, lemon and salt. It is sold in jars and you eat it with any Indian snacks as a side dish. It is an easy and super quick recipe which anyone can make it. This goes well with all tandoori dishes and most North Indian snacks such as Dahi puri, Samosa, Alu tikki and many more. You can add yogurt and a pinch of sugar for a green chutney as you'd find in restaurants. This is very versatile and most commonly used chutney in India. Use it for chat recipes, sandwich and vada pav.
TIPS TO STORE:
- Coriander chutney can be stored for 3 to 5 days into the fridge easily.
- Fill into glass jar/bowl only.
- If you want to make it fresh for a week, add vinegar in it.
Ingredients:
- 1 - Small bunch of green coriander leaves
- 1 - Green Chilli
- 1 - Garlic clove
- Half lemon
- Small half spoon - Salt
Method:
1) Firstly, wash green coriander into water. Cut coriander, green chilli and garlic clove into small pieces. Then crush them into food crusher (chutney crusher).
2) Your delicious chutney is ready. It is an easy and quick recipe.
3) Green and quick chutney that can be added to many chat snacks like sev puri, ragda patties, bhel puri, samosa, chole, vada pav and many more.
4) Serve this gorgeous green chutney with naan bread as a side dish in any Indian meal. It keeps well in the fridge for 4-5 days. You can add yogurt and a pinch of sugar for sweetness.
