Gunda Pickle Recipe / Gunde Ka Achar / Lasode Ka Achar - Gunda Pickle in methi masala is a traditional pickle from Gujarat (India). This Gunda Pickle is quick to make and tastes great with any meal. Also Gundas are seasonal so only available at certain times of the year. Gunda is a kind of berry with a very sticky stone in the middle that is available from March to June. Gunda is also known as Fragrant Manjack, Gumberry, Labeda, Indian Cherry, Bird Lime,  Lasode, Clammy Berries or Cordia Dichotoma. Here, I have presented Gunda Pickle Recipe with step by step method.


**Gunda Pickle**

  • Prep time - 25 mins

Ingredients:

  • Gunda/Lasoda - 255 g
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 3 tbsp
  • Salt - 3 tbsp
  • Achar Masala - 150 g

Method:

1) Prepare ingredients.



2) Wash Gunda twice and cut tail.
3) Make a small crack in gunda as shown and remove seed.





4) Now add Turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
5) Leave it for 2 days for marination.



6) After 1 day, mix it.
7) After 2 days, mix it well.


8) Spread into a Thali and keep it into the sunlight for 3-4 hours.
9) Gundas are completely dried now.


10) Take a bowl and add Achar Masala and oil and mix it.




11) Fill masala into gundas.



12) Store it into airtight jar and consume for a year.
