Sweet Sakarpara Recipe / Sweet Sakarpare Shakkarpare - Sakarpara are sweet maida biscuits which are easy to make and a popular festival Indian sweet for Holi and Diwali. It is prepared all over the country and goes by different names based on the region. I love the simplicity of these gudpapdi shaped sweet sakarpare with the flavour and richness of ghee. Do give a try if you haven't yet..I am sure you will definitely love it.


** Sweet Sakarpara**
  • Prep time - 15 mins
  • Cook time -  10 mins
  • Recipe type - Sweet & snacks

Ingredients: 
  • Plain flour (Meinda) - 150 g
  • Sugar - 70 g
  • Cooking oil - 100 ml
  • Milk - 5 tbsp
  • Ghee (Clarified butter) - 3 tbsp


Method:

1) Prepare ingredients.


2) Add sugar and milk into a bowl and mix well.



3) Add plain flour and ghee and mix it.


4) Add little milk and knead the dough.
5) Keep the dough little firm, it should not be soft, make small balls.




6) Rub it in the plain flour and make round roti.
7) Cut it from the border sides and cut it into the long strips.





8) Heat oil on medium flame, once the oil is heated, slow down to low flame, add pieces and fry them.
9) Flip them and fry until medium brown on low flame.



10) Remove them and drain on tissue paper.

Mungfali Ki Burfi | Mungfali Burfi Recipe | Peanuts Burfi Recipe -Peanuts Burfi is a delicious Indian sweet that is made from peanuts. Peanuts Burfi is a traditional Gujarati sweet. It is quick and easy to make. Mungfali Burfi has always been everyone's favourite. You can serve this along with your meal or on festivals and special occasions. **Mungfali Ki Burfi**
  • Prep time - 10 mins
  • Cook time - 25 mins
  • Recipe type - Dessert

Ingredients:
  • Sugar-300 g
  • Peanut - 500 g
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Mix dry fruits - 3 tbsp
  • Ghee (Clarified butter) - 5 tbsp

Method:

1) Prepare ingredients.


2) In a pan/kadhai, roast the peanuts on medium flame and roast till it becomes light brown.


3) Turn off the flame and take it out into a Thali, let it cool down and remove the skin, for easy peeling, rub it.
4) Add roasted peanut into the grinder jar and grind into coarsely paste.




5) Add ghee into the same pan, add crushed peanuts and roast for a minute.
6) Add mix dry fruits and roast for a minute.


7) For making sugar syrup, add 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water.
8) Boil it for 8 minutes or till the sugar melts completely and syrup becomes stringy of one thread consistency.



9) Add sugar syrup in the roasted peanut paste and add elaichi powder.
10) Mix it for 3 minutes on low flame.




11) Keep stirring until the peanut burfi mixture comes away from the sides of the pan.
12) Take it out into the Thali and press it and cut it into the small square.




13) Allow the peanut burfi to rest in the tray and cool completely, it takes 6-8 hours to cool and firm.

14) Serve peanut burfi as a dessert or during the festivals like Diwali and Holi.

Here, I have presented watermelon juice with step by step process.

**Watermelon juice**
  • Prep time - 10 mins

  • Servings - 3 glasses


Ingredients:

  • Chilled watermelon - 7 slices
  • Rooh afza - 4 tbsp 
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  • Black salt - 1/4 tsp
  • Crushed ice - 1 bowl


Method:

1) Prepare ingredients.


2) Cut watermelon, make slices, cut outer layer and remove seeds.
3) Cut into small pieces.




4) Add the watermelon pieces to a blender jar and blend till smooth.


5) Add lemon juice, rooh afza, and black slat and mix it well.



6) Pour into a glass and add crushed ice and mix it.





* For making juice
Tip - 1 Always buy red and sweet watermelon.
Tip - 2 Serve watermelon juice immediately.

Ingredients:
  • Eggs - 3
  • Caster sugar - 80 g
  • Vanilla extract - 1 tbsp
  • Milk - 2 tbsp
  • Baking powder - 2 tbsp
  • Tutti frutti - 3 tbsp
  • Unsalted butter - 5 tbsp
  • Plain flour (Mainda) - 100 g

Method:
* Prepare ingredients.


1) Put paper cupcake cases into the cupcake tray.
2) Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4.


3) Put the butter and sugar into a large bowl, beat with an electric hand mixer or a wooden spoon.
4) Whizz up until light and fluffy.




5) Add the eggs and whizz again to make a yellow batter.



6) Add plain flour and milk in it and mix until it is smooth about 3 minutes.
7) Add vanilla extract and baking powder, mix on medium speed just until smooth.




8) Mix it until the mixture is of a dropping consistency.


9) Fill cupcakes liners a little more than half way.
10) Spread the tutti frutti on them.


11) Back them for 20-25 minutes.
12) After 20-25 minutes, cool the cupcakes in the tins.




13) Enjoy cupcakes at any occasion.
