Paneer Masala Recipe/Dhaba Style Paneer Dish - Paneer Masala is one of the most popular recipes in Indian cuisine. Paneer Masala is so simple and easy to make that is creamy and delicious. Paneer Masala is one of famous delicacies of North Indian cuisine. This paneer masala recipe needs blanching or sauteing the onion and tomatoes in oil first and then blending which gives a unique flavor to the dish. It is best served with roti, naan, pulao or steamed rice.


**Paneer Masala**

Ingredients:
  • Paneer - 150 g
  • Chopped onion - 1
  • Chopped tomatoes - 2
  • Cooking oil - 2 tbsp
  • Bay leaves - 2
  • Star anise - 1
  • Green chilli - 1
  • Cashew - 50 g
  • Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 1 bowl
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Kasuri methi - 1 tsp
  • Yogurt - 4 tbsp

Method:

1) Prepare ingredients and soak paneer into the hot water for 10 minutes.


2) Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan on medium flame and add onion in it.
3) Saute until onion become soft and brown.


4) Add green chilli and chopped tomatoes in it.
5) Cook them till tomatoes are cooked and soft.


6) Add salt and yogurt in it and mix well.
7) Turn the flame off and let the mix cool a bit.



8) Transfer it into a blender jar, add soaked cashew in it and blend it in a fine paste.




9) Heat 1 tbsp oil on low flame into the same pan.
10) Add dry spices and ginger garlic paste and cook till raw aroma of garlic goes away.
11) Add the chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder and saute it for few seconds.





12) Add paste and mix well.
13) Pour little water in a blender jar and add remaining paste and mix well.
14) Add crushed kasuri methi.





15) Add paneer pieces and mix well.
16) Add garam masala powder and mix it, cover the pan with lid and cook it for 8 minutes on low flame.





17) After 8 minutes, paneer masala is perfectly cooked.
18) Sprinkle some coriander leaves.
19) Serve hot with naan, roti or steamed rice.
